BEFORE THE 'PERSON'
In related to my past blogs, one thing is made in common, and that is: RELATIONSHIP.
God designed relationships for us to enjoy each other companies.
In his six days of creation, everything he created was good, but as we can see in Genesis 2:18, this is the first time God said, IT IS NOT GOOD.
And what is it? TO BE ALONE.
God wants us to have a relationship first to Him then to others.
Now let's take a look what we need to understand in this verse.
This verse actually referring to an intimate relationship with our opposite sex.
Which means that God sends Eve to Adam for them to produce, to increase and to become successful.
As Ecclesiastes is telling us that two are better than one for they can help each other to succeed.
Therefore, God delights in a relationship.
Now the question is, 'What kind of relationship does God delights?'
First, A RELATIONSHIP THAT WILL BRING HIM GLORY.
how can it be?
When God said that is not good to a Man to be alone and He will make a "helper" for him, He intends to keep them watch over the created things He made and that makes Him happy.
A godly relationship that is centered by God will never ever be broken because God is fighting for that relationship and He said THE BATTLE IS MINE.
He fights for the relationship of Israel and Him, so as our relationship towards Him, so what relationship he won't fight for? if it is according to His will.
Next, A RELATIONSHIP THAT IS MAKING BOTH OF YOU MORE IN LOVE WITH HIM.
God wants a relationship more about Him. Why? because God is LOVE.
God wants us to learn that all relationships are not perfect.
When Peter was with Jesus before His betrayal, Jesus ask Peter if he love Him three times.
It is not because Jesus didn't believe in Him, but because He wants him to understand that love is a SELFLESS thing, you give not in order to give back but out of love. That is how Jesus wants us to love our neighbor as well as the partner He will give us.
and lastly, A RELATIONSHIP THAT WILL LAST.
In the Lord, there is eternity. it never ends. it's always fresh, new and always has a new beginning.
In Him, there is PERFECT LOVE, in Him you can find your ASSURANCE.
Because if you keep it all in your heart, surely you will endure the hardships, the pain and the struggles you may be in, because at the end of the day, It is him/her that will made your day. It is him/her that will be your better half. It is him/her you promised that will love for the rest of your life.
So, BEFORE THE 'PERSON' God will give you comes, be sure you developed these three characteristics in your life.
